Songs of my week

There are songs that are stuck on replay for a week now & I need ALL of you to tell me if I’m loving the right songs! HAHAHA!

1. Bells by The Naked and Famous

Gossip Girl is responsible for this. If you have watched Gossip Girl’s S05E12: Father and The Bride, you should probably have stopped for a while on the latter part of the episode & take time to search what song they used. The beat and the song lyrics are so good! Am I right? :)

2. Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran

All because of The Vampire Diaries. E03E14: Dangerous Liaisons. The part where They are dancing. The song is just so sweet! Plus the scenes! Klaus-Caroline, Stefan-Elena, & Damon-Elena. Klaroline – PHYLLIS APPROVES. :)) Just take time to listen & you’ll realize how good the lyrics were. ♥

3. We Are Young by Fun.

I came to know this song because of Glee. Glee Cast made a cover of this song during their S03E08: Hold On to Sixteen. Then I knew that this song was used in Chuck too, & in a TV commercial. I really love this song. It’s like it’s telling me that I can be young whenever I want. I even made a blog using the song title! (http://wp.me/p1yj3Z-9w) & a Facebook album with We Are Young title PLUS lyrics. HAHA!

4. A Thousand Years by Christina Perri

Okay. Just to make it clear, Twilight: Breaking Dawn did not make me love this song. The MEME PROPOSAL did. & if you don’t know that video, which became viral, you’re a loser. HAHA! Well, I’ve known this song long before the proposal of Tim to Audrey. It’s just that… THE VIDEO IS SO SWEET! Then months after, a pair did an intermission number in a seminar we attended. They sang A Thousand Years. Voila! One LSS’d Phyllis! :))

5. Smooth Criminal by Glee Cast Version

From Glee‘s Michael episode. Santana‘s (Naya Rivera) voice is so powerful! & so is Grant Gustin, of course. :) I adore the 2 Cellos! Glee did a very good job on putting vocals to their Cello cover of Smooth Criminal! \m/

6. What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction

Lucy Hale introduced this song to me. (Yes, we’re close. HAHA!) No, actually, she tweeted this video months ago.

I listened & I wasn’t that impressed. But then months after, it became popular. My friend, Riva, played it at their home when we visited them & I started to sing like crazy. I introduced this song to my friends weeks ago because they don’t know 1D & there… HAHA!

7. Emotion by Destiny’s Child

Out of the blue, after our Counseling Techniques class, I remembered my friend, Mary. We have this funny experience with this song when we were in our 4th year in high school, doing our thesis, as usual. :)) Then I sang it aloud & caught Belle‘s attention. We’ve been singing that song since then. Even asked Rupert to play it on his guitar for us. HAHA!

8. Rolling In The Deep by Adele

Adele’s Grammy performance. Need I say more? She’s so awesome! I adore her! I love her! Belle & I wants to have a cover of her song. :) First heard this on “I Am Number 4“, then on Gossip Girl‘s Season 4 finale: The Wrong Goodbye.

9. Someone Like You by Adele

Because Valentine’s day came & we don’t have dates. HAHA! Better sing this. I am Forever Alone & I don’t mind. :)))))

10. Without You – Glee Cast Version

I used to sing this for my friend, Maine. (Inside joke). Then Glee did a cover of it for their S03E10: Yes/No & it’s way better than the original. With Rachel Berry‘s (Lea Michele) version, you can feel the meaning of the song. Aside from the fact that she’s my idol, the song is really heartfelt, I must say. NO BIAS INTENDED. :))

So what can you say? Did I love the right songs or not? HAHAHA!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

February 11, 2012: the end of Dominican College Sta. Rosa’s 18 Foundation week. Too bad I wasn’t able to see the field demonstration of the students because I was at Manila Tytana Colleges that morning to make our props for the play.

So, I arrived at Dominican College at around 6.30pm. Sir Roque and Sir Randy saw me just when I entered the school’s gate. I can’t explain what I feel when I come to step inside. Very nostalgic, indeed. It’s like I had a vision of myself sitting at the guardhouse while chatting with my friends. Those days when I had a chance to run around the basketball court during dismissal time– Ugh! Everything! I just want to go back to high school! :((

The event last night was Discorama but I wasn’t really there to join. I was there to be with my friends & to have my pictures taken around the school. HAHAHA! Tourist spot? LOL! But yea, I had my pictures around but since it’s night time, you can’t really see the surroundings of my alma mater. :)) But believe me, my old school is so beautiful! I love it more than I love Manila Tytana Colleges. :))

3 in 1!

Last Friday Night!

I had so much fun with my girls last Friday. At least, after all our hardships from the Midterm exams, the projects, the play & everything, we had time to relax and enjoy.

We went to Nuvali to pig-out at Pig Out because it is Rachel, Venessa, & Micah‘s birthdays. (I believe I’ve already mentioned it on my previous blog post. HAHA!)

We really enjoyed eating there. All of their food are delicious! Especially their Chicharon rice! It iz ze bezt! We stayed there for 2 hours (?) because we had a lot of things to talk about. After eating & chatting, we walked around the park, took pictures & went home.

Birthday plans!

It’s February. Meaning some of my friends will celebrate their birthdays again! HAHA!

Since 3 of my friends will celebrate this month (Rachel: Feb. 8, Venessa: Feb. 10, Micah: Feb. 16), we’ve decided to just have one plain celebration. :) After our Midterm exams, we had a meeting on where we will go on Friday. HAHA! Pardon my very lazy handwriting. :D

So, we planned of going to Tagaytay on Friday. PROS: Zipline, Kabayo (Horses), Malamig (Cold weather), Nakakabingi (Deafening… Prolly because of the stillness of the place). CONS: Saglit (Brief… Because our class will end on 2PM PLUS the travel time, so we’ll arrive there by 4 & we need to go by 6PM. HAHA!), Malayo (Far), Mahirap umuwi (Difficult to go home), Kasama si mommy (My mother is with us… Because we will be borrowing her car & she won’t lend it to us if she’s not with us! HAHA!)

Next plan was MOA. PROS: Quantum. CONS: Wala lang (Nothing.. HAHA! Because we’re always at MOA & it won’t be special if we only celebrate it there.)

Then, there’s Enchanted Kingdom. PROS: First time (It will be our first time TOGETHER there, if ever), Masaya (Fun). CONS: Sandali lang (Just like the “brief” explanation. :D), Butas ang bulsa (No money after…)

In North Park, PROS: Masarap (Delicious), Malapit (Near). CONS: Masyadong malapit (Too near. HAHAHA!), Boring, Kakain lang (We’ll eat. JUST eat.)

In Nuvali, PROS: May magagawa (We can do something…), Maraming pagkain (Many food choices there!), Hindi masyadong malapit (Not that near. HAHA! Because we want to go to a quite far place). CONS: Boring, Napuntahan/Nabinyagan na (We already went there before. Which makes it not that exciting for us)

We also thought of Swimming in Caceres. PROS: May magagawa (We can do something enjoyable), Enjoy, May pagkain (There’s food!) CONS: Sunburn, Mababasa (We’ll get wet. Of course. HAHAHAHA!), Madaming dala (Too many things to bring)

But after almost half an hour of discussion, we came up with our final decision: We’ll go to Nuvali. We did vote. :) So, it’s fair. HAHA!

Gah! I can’t wait for Friday to come! Happy birthday to my dearest friends!

A Thousand Years | A Thousand Times Singing

Just a brief story…

Yesterday, my friends & I attended a seminar in our school. Then there’s an intermission number from 2 nursing students. They sang an a cappella version of A Thousand Years. I’ve been singing that song since then. So does my friend, Charmaine.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Okay. You got it! It’s the title of the book that I’m reading right now. Well, I’m really not expecting to buy this book yesterday.

My friends & I went to Mall of Asia to buy the materials we need for the props.  I mentioned it in my last blog post. So, we went to National Bookstore. & I saw this book…

I was asking my friend, Micah, if I should buy it then she said, “Ikaw… Kung may budget ka naman ngayon…” I was really tempted to buy it, although the money isn’t really for this book…

BTW, another recap on what happened on my 2 weeks break from blogigng….

Susanna & I went to Fully Booked at MOA last January 28 & I saw the COMPLETE HARDBOUND BOOKS of the Hunger Games Trilogy. I wanted to buy it but I don’t have money with me. & so, the next Monday, January 30, I asked my parents if I could have Php 2,200.00 to buy the three books. They gave me money but unfortunately, the books are out-of-stock na. As fast as a lightning! HAHAHA! Last Saturday it’s available. then suddenly, it’s out-of-stock.

But I changed my mind. I would like to have the box set of the trilogy. So I don’t want to buy any Hunger Games or Catching Fire or Mockingjay. I feel so depressed. I’ve known this book for years but I wasn’t able to buy it. & now it’s out-of-stock na. I should’ve bought it when my cousin, Ate Dawn, was looking for the Mockingjay book to complete her set & we saw this box set at National Bookstore branch of Market Market & FullyBooked Bonifacio High Steet.

I regret… I regret… Since then, I have this Php 2,200.00 with me, hoping that I will find the box set soon! HAHA! My mother went to FullyBooked at Bonifacio High Street (My haven. HAHA!) to ask if there’s an available box set of the trilogy but it’s currently unavailable. Riva & I went to Powerbooks at Glorietta but it’s unavailable na din. I AM SO IN REGRET. HAHA!

But just now I received an email from Lucy of FullyBooked saying that they’re already re-ordering the box set of the trilogy. I think I’m gonna call them now to make a reservation. :D

& so, I was skeptical if I should buy the book or not. That’s not even the cover of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” I’m looking for. I’m looking for this book cover….

Wanna know why? Because Emma Watson owns The Perks book with that cover. & I super love Emma Watson because she’s the Hermione. Hermione of our world, Harry Potter world. I don’t know what to do with the book I purchased yesterday if ever I see one.

I just can’t wait to watch the movie! Emma Watson & Logan Lerman. WOAH! HAHAHA! I guess I need to go now and read the book. I’ll finish it today since the books is not that thick naman.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower movie will be released this year. & I can’t wait!

It’s been 2 weeks

It’s been 2 weeks since I last posted a blog. The last one was a mistake (deleted post). I’ve received a lot of words from it & I can’t blame them. Everyone gets misunderstood & I was… 2 weeks ago. I had already given my words so, let’s move on. The only thing I can’t take was when they already bombarded me with critiques. I know I’m not pretty. I’m ugly. I know my blog is punyeta. It’s a sucker blog. I know I’m not a professional. So I shouldn’t give opinions.

Anyway, I’m already over with that phase in my life, I have already talked to some of them so… moving on… :) I’m ready to start anew. & I can’t believe I have received a lot of requests from different users to view my blog. I don’t know why.  HAHAHA!

Lately, I’ve been busy doing our thesis & it’s very distressing, quite related to our study, actually. :)) Because our study is about stress. I can’t get enough sleep lately. We also have this play for our World Literature & I am one of those who are assigned to do the props. (Actually, I was supposed to play Arethusa [her story here] but I’m not good in acting so I told Belle, the director, that I can’t. & besides, we already have an agreement before. HAHAHAHAHA!

Aside from the thesis & play, we still have projects & homeworks to accomplish. PLUS! Midterms will be in 2 weeks’ time. I don’t know what to do anymore. The stress is killing me! I guess it’s time to use some of those stress management strategies we have gathered for our study. HAHAHAHAHA!

I believe this will end soon. There’s a rainbow always after the rain~~ HAHAHA

I know I’ve created an impact. I’m learning. I just want to share my experiences. From now on, I will be more cautious. I’ve been very misunderstanding primarily because of the stress I’ve been to these past few days.

I. Need. To. Hibernate!

Every girl in our school looks like this when going to classroom or somewhere…

But sadly, I am not one of those girls. HAHAHA! These past few days, I look  more like this….

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Dayum. TIME CHECK: 9:08PM & I’m sleepy already. I need more sleep. I NEED TO HIBERNATE! HAHAHAHA! I need to gain strength! I just hope that these homeworks & projects will spare me more time to sleep. I’m so exhausted, tired, and all! I just can’t wait for Friday to come… Oh wait… we still have PAPJA on Saturday.

Save me from this extreme antok! I can’t even think of anything much to say…

Maybe I should go to sleep now.

Tangled Ever After

I know. I know.

I know I have just published a post minutes ago but Twitter made me blog again! Oh my! This! THIS! Disney made a Tangled short film “Tangled Ever After” where Eugene Fitzherbert aka Flynn Rider & Rapunzel will finally get married.

Okay. This is very childish of me but to know that I can see Rapunzel & Flynn again on a big screen made me feel so happy. January 13, I will wait for you, in line with Beauty & the Beast 3D. :)

The only problem is, almost all the US films premieres late here in the Philippines. I just need to wait. Or perhaps, I will watch it online nalang. HAHAHA!
